Do Not Freeze Heat-Rejection Model Numbers Before Supply Temperature Exists

Reserving manufacturing capacity is reversible; freezing a model number before the supply temperature is decided is not.

Thirty-seven packages, and none of them is released. The master enquiry package records external release as forbidden on all 37, and the third structure level as ready on 0 of 37. An earlier issue's claim that thirty-two packages could be sent today is void. A factory slot can still be given back. A model number chosen against a supply temperature nobody has stated cannot. Before the weather values and the secondary supply temperature are closed, no irrevocable order may be placed for the main rejection plant of any route, and if schedule pressure requires capacity to be locked early, what gets locked is the manufacturing slot rather than the specification.

A Slot Can Be Released; a Frozen Model Number Cannot

The real delivery risk is not which route is longer but which becomes the critical path and loses its remedial elasticity. The dry and adiabatic routes are modular: they can be commissioned in batches and can take added modules later. Get a refrigeration machine's capacity wrong and the remedy is measured in a whole production campaign. Ordering main refrigeration plant before the supply-temperature interface closes is therefore named as the project's largest current procurement-sequencing risk. That conclusion is graded as an assumption while it says so.

A slot is a position in someone's factory schedule; releasing or re-dating it is a commercial conversation. A specification frozen against the wrong branch produces plant either oversized against a duty that never arrives or undersized against one that does, and the correction re-enters the queue the slot was bought to escape. The supply temperature's three-branch span is 13 K, matching the 10 to 15 K spread of route capability, so a specification frozen before the branch is known is frozen against an axis nobody has chosen [MODELED].

Six failure boundaries sit in front of any freeze. Any one of them requires the route comparison to be redone rather than patched. Five of the six do not wait on the OEM.

The Long-Lead Register Already Blocks Any Rejection Order

The master enquiry package reaches the same position from the procurement side without citing the rejection chapter. Its long-lead register deliberately neither ranks nor dates the items — ranking would need cycle data it does not have — but for each item it records the origin stage of the lead time and the inputs that would make it orderable.

Rejection plant is listed against three route branches, its lead time rooted in post-approval material procurement, manufacturing and the oversize-transport stage; its enabling inputs are the weather values, the supply-temperature branch adjudication and one further open item; its status is branch not adjudicated. The three routes must not share a bill of materials, a quote, or a card. The distribution unit is listed separately, blocked on an information-technology-side specification that is not fixed, alongside the hydraulic interface and the four-parameter rated capacity. Neither is orderable today, and neither is blocked by anything a supplier could resolve. Carrying no cycle times, the register establishes blocking inputs and not durations — no slot length can be sized from it.

The distribution-unit review is in the same state: a primary duty of 100.1 m³/h at not less than 348 kPa, and no manufacturer curve behind it [TARGET].

The Package May Reserve Scale and a Slot, Not a Model

Two disciplines define the shape of an early capacity reservation. The quantity table declares its single purpose to be letting bidders understand the scale of the enquiry and organise capacity, and prohibits use as a procurement quantity, an investment basis or a bill of materials. The declared unchanged items keep every research quantity as a research quantity with the procurement-quantity column still empty, and hold every external gate open or held — including the supply temperature, the distribution-unit branches, the rejection route, and any supplier model, certification or delivery time.

The package also symbolises all lead times, printing no value in weeks, days or months and no project dates, and states that without supplier cycle data it will not output an achievability conclusion against the stated duration target. A reservation issued under those disciplines carries scale and a schedule position and no model number — exactly the instrument the rejection basis asks for, though that is an inference across two documents neither of them makes.

Approach across the distribution unit is a contractual enquiry clause, not a footnote. One kelvin of approach is a one-kelvin shift of the whole-year temperature curve.

Float Must Be Owned, Not Hidden Inside Stage Durations

Float must be explicitly owned and may not be hidden inside individual stage durations, because a supplier's self-embedded reserve is invisible and unmanageable to the buyer, and in a compression negotiation it will be presented as already exhausted. No float has been quantified anywhere in the read set, because no cycle data exists to quantify it from.

Applied to a slot reservation, that rule separates holding a schedule position one can actually move from holding a supplier's private buffer under one's own name. Four register items — field evaluation scheduling, the utility connection works, authority review and permitting, and the carrier's external connection — have cycles set by nobody in the supply chain, cannot be compressed by money, people or a change of supplier, and improve only by applying earlier. Managing them inside the equipment long-lead table is named as the most likely scheduling method error on the project.

Limits and open items

If the supply-temperature enquiry returns all four items required — maximum supply and return temperatures, the nameplate fluid and rating condition, and the permitted cold-plate pressure drop — and the recomputed site weather lands, the route axis collapses and a specification freeze becomes a normal engineering act rather than a bet [TARGET]. Receiving only the first of the four and treating it as the answer is the failure mode the rejection basis names, and it would produce a frozen model number resting on an unfrozen route.

Modelled and not frozen: the 13 K axis, the 10 to 15 K route spread, the six failure boundaries, and the two mechanical long-lead entries that are not orderable. [MODELED]

Open: the weather values; the supply-temperature branch; the six boundaries; float ownership; and any factory slot itself, none of which has been reserved. [HOLD]

No slot has been reserved, no specification frozen and no enquiry issued. Every quantity in the package remains a research figure and no price appears anywhere in it. On the current record the only early commitment either document supports is a reservation of scale and schedule position, adjudicated by the authorised party against the four-parameter capacity rather than against a model.
